Muslim extremists urge Pakistan government to reject Western aid?

Saw this on the news this morning, of course the Pakistani government isn't likely to refuse aid, but what are your thoughts? The Taliban claim the money will only be syphoned off by corrupt officials, is this claim likely to be true or is the Taliban just agitating? Have you made a donation, or would this deter you?
