What's involved in getting a job as an animal Trainer at Australia Zoo?

I'm not 100% sure, but I'd think you need biology, zoology and as a bonus animal husbandry as subjects. Here in South Africa and neighbouring Namibia most cheetah trainers are good hearted farmers who started by saving cheetahs from poachers' traps and then rehabilitating them. Personally I don't like zoos very much although they've done very good research and saved meny species from extinction, the animals are not in their element because they're caged up. They will never adapt to the wild again.
