Have we finally found the cause to our economic misery?

If it takes more division and political disaster until people realize that liberalism is the cancer to the American idea and what we were founded on, then so be it. The problem with our economic misery is because we are moving away from capitalism and moving towards over regulated socialism and uncontrollable government spending with a federal reserve that buys it's own debt to stay afloat. I think it's wrong to lose my principles and toss the Constitution to the side just to compromise with a bunch of people who want to destroy this country.
